As you can see in the ‘Before’ photo on the left, we started with an absolute blank slate. The space was nothing but bare concrete floors, exposed cinderblock, and steel support beams.
Building a commercial walk-in freezer or cold room from scratch in an environment like this requires precise refrigeration engineering. Without the perfect thermal envelope, the refrigeration equipment will run constantly, driving up hydro bills and eventually burning out the compressors. We needed to seal the space completely.
The Solution: Custom Commercial Refrigeration Installation
Our certified technicians brought in the heavy machinery and got to work building a custom cold storage facility from the ground up. Our complete build-out included:
- Insulated Metal Panels (IMP): We constructed the interior walls and ceiling using heavy-duty insulated panels. This creates a perfect thermal barrier, ensuring zero temperature leakage and maximum energy efficiency.
- Heavy-Duty Commercial Evaporators: If you look at the red arrows in the ‘After’ photo, you will see the dual high-capacity evaporator coils we suspended from the ceiling. These units are engineered for rapid temperature pull-down and perfectly even airflow across the entire warehouse.
- Energy-Efficient Lighting: We wired low-heat LED lighting to ensure a bright, safe workspace that doesn’t put unnecessary heat load on the cooling equipment.
The Result: State-of-the-Art Cold Storage
